We have a track record of providing fantastic opportunities to candidates throughout the country and are now seeking a Sprinkler Design Engineer to join our team.
 
**To be considered for this role you must have knowledge and experience within LPS Supervision Scheme and hold a full UK drivers’ license.
 
The Role:
As a Sprinkler Designer will be responsible for initial designs, amendments, as fitted and zone plan drawings. They may also be required to undertake site inspections/surveys of mechanical systems installs with a Project Manager. To assist Project Managers with the system design right through to the commissioning and sign off, from customer. To assist with verification escalations and production of quotes.
 
Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Design fire protection systems to a high standard (initial designs, amendments, as fitted drawings, zone plan drawings)
  • All work to be carried out to the current relevant/applicable standards
  • Carry out surveys and assist in quotations for new and existing customers as and when required with a Project Manager or National Account Manager (NAM)
  • Carry out site inspections during and after installations by technicians/sub-contractors with a Project Manager or NAM
  • Adhering to a rigorous processes surrounding the surveying/quoting and designing of fire protection installations to current standards
  • To operate software required for the role including but not limited to Computer Aided Design (AutoCAD) and Full Hydraulic Calculations (FHC) calculation software
  • Uploading/downloading of documents to/from LPC Portal, Document Management/Collaboration systems.
  • Assist with the completion of LPCB supervision and audits as and when requested
  • Interact documentation to NAV to ensure compliance as wellbeing accessible to the project managers
  • To ensure all administration is complete for each job including all certification
  • To fully understand current legislation surrounding the designing of fire protections systems (or be working towards it)
  • Have the ability to make judgement calls/decisions on drawings/design based on your experience within the industry.
 
The Candidate
  • To have experience working in a similar role
  • To have a good understanding of LPCB rules incorporating BS EN 12845 (preferable with the LPCB basic qualification as a minimum requirement)
  • To be able to lead by example
  • To be confident in your knowledge of Sprinkler systems
