Due to our expanding team and client base, we are now seeking a Fire and Security Engineer to cover South West and South East London.
As an experienced Fire and Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the fault diagnosis, repairs, servicing, maintenance, small works of fire alarm systems, security systems (CCTV, intruder alarms, access control), and related equipment for both commercial and residential clients.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Fire and Security Engineer
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose faults in electrical systems and fire/security equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK driving license.
- Flexible and willing to travel South West and South East London and the surrounding area

The Role / MUST HAVE:
- Installation of Ansul kitchen fire suppression systems in commercial kitchens
- Commissioning and testing of installed systems
- Carrying out system upgrades, modifications, and remedial works
- Ensuring all installations comply with relevant fire safety regulations and standards
- Conducting site surveys and providing technical input where required
- Completing all necessary documentation and certification accurately
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Maintaining high levels of health & safety compliance on site

Churches Fire & Security is recruiting a fire alarm engineer who is interested in working as a residential engineer based at Heathrow.
The Role:
- To carry out servicing, maintenance and small works
- To work with varied fire alarm systems and emergency lights
- Fault finding to conduct a 1st fix solution where possible
- To work to the British Standards at all times
- You will be customer facing to maintaining a good reputation on behalf of Churches Fire
The Candidate:
- Good knowledge of the British Standards
- Knowledge of FIA units 1 + 5
- Experience in Fire Systems
- Knowledge of GENT and/or Notifier (desirable but not essential as training can be given)
- You must have an outgoing and proactive personality to manage own work and exhibit Churches Fire’s vision and values

Purpose of the Role
To carry out weekly testing and basic inspections of fire sprinkler systems across designated sites, ensuring systems remain operational, compliant, and any defects are identified and reported promptly.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly sprinkler alarm and flow switch tests in accordance with site procedures and relevant standards.
- Inspect sprinkler control valves, gauges, pumps, tanks, and associated equipment for signs of damage, faults, or tampering.
- Record all test results accurately in site logbooks and electronic reporting systems.
- Report defects, non-conformances, and maintenance requirements to the relevant manager or maintenance provider.
- Ensure sprinkler systems are returned to normal operational status following testing.
- Liaise with site representatives regarding testing schedules and findings.
- Maintain a high standard of health and safety while working on client premises.
- Support compliance with fire safety legislation and company procedures.
Skills and experience essential
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to follow procedures and complete accurate records.
- Basic understanding of sprinkler systems
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK driving licence (if travelling between sites).
